Welcome to the home of NRA’s Election Volunteer Coordinator for the Richmond area. The Richmond Area encompasses three congressional districts (3rd, 4th, and 7th) with Virginia’s 7th Congressional District making up the largest share of the area. The 7th District includes the counties of Culpeper, Goochland, Hanover, Louisa, New Kent, and Orange, as well as parts of the counties of Chesterfield, Henrico, Spotsylvania and part of the City of Richmond.
The 4th Congressional District includes all or part of the counties of Amelia, Brunswick, Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Greensville, Isle of Wight, Nottoway, Powhatan, Prince George, Southampton, Sussex, and the cities of Chesapeake, Colonial Heights, Emporia, Franklin, Hopewell, Petersburg, and Suffolk.
The 3rd Congressional District serves most of the majority-black precincts in the Richmond and Hampton Roads areas. It covers all of the cities of Portsmouth and Petersburg, parts of the cities of Hamption, Newport News, Norfolk and Richmond, all of Charles City, and Surry counties and parts of Henrico and Prince George counties.
I am an NRA Benefactor member and my family are all NRA members (my daughters are Life members). In addition to having served as an NRA-ILA EVC, I am a past president of the Virginia Shooting Sports Association (VSSA) and a current board member of the VSSA. I currently serve as Vice President and as the VSSA Legislative Director. I appeared periodically on NRANews Cam and Company to discuss issues related to gun owner rights and the Virginia General Assembly.
This site will provide gun owners and sportsmen in Virginia, but especially Central Virginia with information about all of the races relevant to their rights.
While you are here, take a moment to renew your NRA membership or sign up for the very first time. Whether you are a new member or renewing your membership, you will save $10 on an annual membership by join using this website. Also take a minute to join the Virginia Shooting Sports Association, Virginia’s oldest gun rights organization. VSSA is the only “full service” gun rights organization in Virginia, not only lobbying for your rights at the Virginia General Assembly, but also supporting and promoting the shooting sports to men, women, and the next generation.
We need all gun owners to do their part to protect our rights. We need to register to vote, contact our legislators, write to the media, and educate ourselves on the candidate’s positions.
